The Amazon Echo Hub is now available for purchase

If you have a bunch of smart home devices, you’re probably aware that you can control all of them from a smartphone or tablet. But if you don’t want to always bring your phone around with you, a centralized system could work. If that is the case, then you might be interested in checking out the Amazon Echo Hub.

The Amazon Echo Hub was announced last year in September. It is now available for purchase in the US where it is priced at $180. What makes it a better control system compared to your phone or a smart speaker is that it is more accessible. If you have multiple people living at home, this will allow all of them to control your smart home devices from one location.

It also offers a much simplified interface for users who aren’t tech savvy. You can think of it as being a digital version of a switch. The Echo Hub also supports multiple smart home connectivity options such as WiFi, Bluetooth, ZIgbee, Sidewalk, Thread, and Matter. This means that you should be able to connect and control pretty much every smart home device out there.

The Echo Hub sports an 8-inch display and users can customize it to show their most frequently used devices. It can also pull up camera feeds for security and doorbell cameras, and more.
