TaiwanICDF and FFTC Sign an MoU to Promote Agricultural Collaboration in the Asia-Pacific Region
On February 19, the TaiwanICDF signed a memorandum of understanding with the Food and Fertilizer Technology Center (FFTC) of the Asia-Pacific region. The agreement strengthens agricultural collaboration between Taiwan and its neighbors.
Taiwan has played a crucial role in the Asia-Pacific’s agricultural development since 1959, when it dispatched its first cultivation experts to Vietnam to help the nation become a leading rice exporter. More recently, the TaiwanICDF established a technical mission in the Philippines in 2023 for the Farm and Fisheries Clustering and Consolidation program. These facilities have proven useful for improving food production, public nutrition, and environmental sustainability in the Philippines through technology transfer.
The TaiwanICDF looks forward to future cooperation with the FFTC, where it will share Taiwan’s advancements in smart agriculture, nurture local talent, and engage in collaboration to foster partnerships in the Asia-Pacific region.
