‘New Banking Service Now Available in Rayleigh’

Barclays Expands Reach with Launch of Barclays Local in Rayleigh

Barclays has officially opened its Barclays Local site at Rayleigh Library, offering customers in-person financial support and education without the need to visit a traditional bank branch. With colleagues available on Monday through Thursday, customers can access a range of services including help with digital banking, financial reviews, balance checks, transfers, and bill payments.

The launch of Barclays Local in Rayleigh is part of the bank’s commitment to providing customers with more flexible ways to interact physically. With over 350 Barclays Locals established across the country in community locations like town halls and community centers, customers have the option to make appointments or walk in to speak with Barclays colleagues. Additionally, a fleet of Barclays vans travel to more remote areas to provide support.

Rt Hon Mark Francois, MP for Rayleigh and Wickford, shared his excitement about the new Barclays Local site, highlighting the convenience it offers to local residents. He noted that while everyday banking transactions can be completed at the local Post Office, customers visiting the Barclays Local will have access to a variety of in-person support services.

Councillor Mark Durham of Essex County Council emphasized the importance of offering face-to-face support for those who are less familiar with digital banking. He praised the partnership between Barclays and Rayleigh Library, stating that the Barclays Local provides a valuable resource for residents to manage their finances without having to travel to a bank branch.
