Have A Mole to Remove? Visit Dr. Michelle Henry

I’ve had a somewhat unobtrusive, very small, and colorless mole on my face since I was a teenager, and never really considered removing it in spite of the fact that it regularly sprouted a small white hair that I had to regularly pluck. I grew so used to this routine that it never occurred to me to simply have it removed once and for all. But… as part of a “new year/no fear” mantra, in which I attempt to wipe away everything that’s unnecessarily tiresome in my life during the Year of the Dragon, I decided the mole had to go.

Dr. Michelle Henry – Skin & Aesthetic Surgery of Manhattan

Moles can be cancerous or benign. Most moles are benign and no treatment is necessary, but some benign moles may develop into skin cancer/melanoma, so it’s good to have them regularly checked (warning signs are here). I headed to Skin & Aesthetic Surgery of Manhattan, which is a state-of-the-art dermatology and dermatologic surgery practice in Midtown East, located not far from Rockefeller Center. Everything about this place is thoroughly lovely, including — most importantly – their results.

Dr. Michelle Henry leads the team there as a board-certified dermatologist and an ACGME fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgeon. You are in good hands with Dr. Henry, who embraces a holistic approach to care, and treats patients with genuine warmth and benevolence.

The mole removal process was professional, painless, and quick. It did leave a bright red spot on my face for a few days, which slowly began to fade away and will eventually be unnoticeable. For the first days, all I had to do was occasionally apply Aquaphor to the spot. So if you have a mole or three to have checked or removed, I highly recommend heading to this midtown practice and having Dr. Henry tend to it.

The Skin & Aesthetic Surgery of Manhattan also offers other services (all backed by an evidence-based approach), including Bhair transplants, laser hair removal, liposuction, Mohs surgery, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), sclerotherapy, skin tightening, and much more. They also specialize in providing treatments for skin of color.
