Drivers were warned not to exceed 80kph on a UAE motorway on Tuesday, as thick fog formed over parts of Abu Dhabi.
The bad weather stretched from an area on the coast on the outskirts of the capital, inland past Sweihan.
That prompted police to lower the speed limit on a section of Mohammed Bin Rashid road, between Seih Al Sedirah and Seih Shuaib for several hours, as visibility dropped below 1km.

Winds will be light to moderate, freshening at times.
Conditions will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in Oman sea.
Fog could return in the early hours on Wednesday, as humidity rises again overnight.
