The United Arab Emirates loves to come with new ideas and break world records. The country has the world’s tallest building, largest mall, largest desalinated water reservoir, and one of the largest solar farms. Now it is planning to add one more record to the list, it is working on the world’s largest virtual battery plant.
It is five times bigger than the previous record set by Tesla in Australia in 2017. UAE has set some of the most ambitious green energy goals in the region. It is planning to produce 60% of its electricity from carbon-free sources by 2050. It is spending $160 billion by 2030 on renewable energy.
