The government in Muscat is moving to ensure a prosperous Eid al Adha festival by implementing a raft of maintenance and rewiring projects at slaughterhouses.
According to Muscat Daily, Muscat Municipality in Seeb has inspected 21 butcher shops ahead of the Eid al Adha rush.
“The slaughterhouses are ready for Eid al Adha,” a government official confirmed.
“All facilities have undergone maintenance, and faulty electrical and mechanical parts have been replaced.
“A fully automated device to skin cows has been installed, which will save a lot of time for the butchers and enable quicker service.”
Similar consideration to mechanical and electrical works has been ongoing in Saudi’s Makkah Municipality in preparation for this year’s Hajj.
